Last New Summer Flavor!

Baby Boy Shower

Some adorable custom colored Birthday Cake macarons are going out today for a little boy's baby shower!


Different colored sprinkles are a fun way to customize macarons to match a party's theme.


And of course there has to be a little sample bag for the hostess.  Custom Birthday Cake macarons and Chocolate Peanut Butter Salted Caramel macarons...yum!

Chocolate!

There wasn't quite enough chocolate on here, so we decided to do a devil's food version of our Birthday Cake macarons.  Chocolate shells filled with chocolate buttercream and dark chocolate ganache centers...


...rolled in chocolate sprinkles.  Delish!

This Week's New Flavors!

You didn't think we would stick with only eight flavors forever, did you?  This week we have a couple of fun new flavors to add to our repertoire.

Key Lime Pie!


Lime green, graham cracker shells filled with key lime pie filling and key lime curd centers.


And of course, everyone's favorite, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.


Tan shells topped with mini chocolate chips and filled with eggless chocolate chip cookie dough.

Gift Wrapped Boxes

I have some individual boxes going out to a few friends this week.  Each one holds six to seven macarons and comes wrapped in a big ol' navy bow.  Perfect for a little teacher gift (I've said it before; I'll say it again: we don't want mugs!), a hostess gift, or a treat yourself because you had a bad day gift.


Can't get enough of that grosgrain!


Remember: macarons can be frozen four to five months and come out tasting perfectly!  Just leave them at room temperature for about an hour before eating.  A perfect thing to keep on hand for last minute gifts.

Neighborhood Block Party

I had a fun opportunity this weekend to donate a table full of macarons to our neighborhood block party.


So while my two year old was partying in the bounce house, I was meeting all of our neighbors and passing out almost 400 macarons.


Most popular were the Birthday Cake macarons, second were the Boysenberry, and third were the Peanut Butter Cup. 


And after about two hours...totally demolished!


I was a little worried about my babies in the heat (I mean the macarons, not my actual babies...they were fine), but they held up really well! Delicious.

We're Here!

While in Paris for our second wedding anniversary, I quickly fell for the colorful little macarons that filled pastry cases across the city.  We won't discuss how many I ate; it was vacation.


Once we returned to Philadelphia, I was so excited to find a French pastry shop that daily made beautiful macarons just a few blocks from our house.  But moving to Kansas was another story.  Disappointed with the small selection of macaron making shops in my home town, I took to the kitchen to figure out how to make them myself.  A few years, two kids, and many ruined batches later, I'm finally pleased with my finished product and want to pass them on to you!

Macarons are perfect as little favors for a party and are a great way to add color to a dessert table.  They are endlessly adaptable to event themes and different occasions.  Enjoy looking around at some of the standard flavors we have available, and don't hesitate to contact me with your own creative combinations for your next get-together!
